ABOUT CAE FROM DECEMBER 2008
CAE recognises that you have the ability to communicate with confidence in English and deal with most aspects of everyday life. It is the right exam for you if you want to develop your English to an advanced level, whether for work or study purposes. CAE is at Level C1 of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
What is Level C1?
This means that when you pass CAE, you are able to use English effectively in social and professional situations and in higher education.
